Data visualization

This project is based on a study examining changes in time use patterns of social engagement of US older adults before and during the COVID-19 pandemic (2019-2021). I am interested in how does social engagement shift from pre-pandemic to pandemic periods among adults aged 60 and older by location and activity type.

IPUMS PMA harmonizes the Performance Monitoring for Action (PMA) data series. It provides an interactive web dissemination system for PMA data with variable documentation on thousands of harmonized variables on family planning, maternal, and child health.

This project is a demonstration of how to use python for data visualization. Modules used for this project includes pandas, numpy, fuzzywuzzy for data cleaning; geopandas, matplotlib, seaborn, bokeh for plotting.
